Hunter

The Hunter is a class E car in Crashday. It has a 5-speed transmission and front-wheel-drive drivetrain.

Weighting in at only 1023 kg, the Hunter accelerates quickly and feels very light in corners. It's capable of reaching a faster speed than both Buster & Cube. Compared to Cube, it has a superior top speed at the cost of inferior acceleration and armor. A challenging car for wrecking matches, Hunter easily gets pushed around by heavier and larger cars due to its weight. Its small size and light weight makes Hunter an agile car, however this affects its wrecking capabilities badly. Like all E class cars, it's default wheels become quickly redundant above D class performance, on use on any car.

Hunter XT-5 is based on the second generation Honda CR-X, with the front more resembling a fifth generation Honda Civic.

Trivia

  • It is the lightest car available in game.
  • Hunter comes with 3 performance upgrades instead of 2.
  • It has a unique license plate ingame, only featured on the Hunter, yet on renders, it features the US-style plate.
  • The Hunter shares the same physics parameters with the Cube.
  • A cut vinyl "Impact Turbo" can be seen in pre-release screenshots and game files, can even be spotted in the track settings background image in the original game.
  • The Hunter's lights used to have multiple faults:
    • It doesn't feature a damage texture, which means the rear lights can't be fully broken to reveal it's internals like on other cars.
    • Prior to Redline Edition update 1.5.40, due to a mesh naming oversight, breaking the rear left light will actually break the rear right light flare, and vice versa, which can cause one of the lights to be 'half-on', with the light texture no longer being on, but the flare still floating in front of it.
